Me Again!

I forgot to mention on christmas eve my comp and I at 12 in the morning went out and watched all the really loud fireworks there were soooo many and they were so loud but they were soo pretty and soo cool! I swear i don{t know where Guatemala gets the money but they probably send over trillions of dollars because there are always fireworks going off over here.. and were going to have more for new years.. but on christmas the set them off at 12 in the evening.. and then at six in the night for the birth of christ i think it was for... but it was really cool to see them and they were super cool. So after we watched all the fireworks christmas eve night... we went in and opened packages.. like at one in the morning christmas morning and then went to bed.. and this is the tradition here they all go and watch the fireworks and then they return home to find santa had come.. they then open there presents.. and then all sleep and do what ever they want...

A member was also nice enough to bring us a huge loaf of bread, two tamales and a bag of really good cookies on saturday night which was really sweet of them!

On saturday night my comp and i bought supplies and we prepared a meal to give to the elders for sunday after church because the lady that normally makes our meals won{t be able to so my comp and i made something for the four of us and they came to our house after church. to pick it up and then take it home.. speaking of which my comp and i bought presents for the elders.. hahah since there like our little brothers we decided to get them something hehe we bought them sling shots... well my comp and i thought they were cool to so we bought some as well so were all thinking of having a marshmallow fight.. not sure when because our p-days are different than theres since they work in the office... but we will probably figure out a day.. but ill let you all know hehe but yep im doing well! Working hard and sorry my photos won{t load so i won{t be able to send any but i had more time to tell you about my week! But hope all is well! love ya all! happy new years!

Feliz Nuevo Ano Pues, Casi..

Happy almost new year! and i hope you all had a great Christmas! So this week was rather crazy. Everyone was basically gone for the holidays and so for christmas eve my comp and i went contact mad! and we basically contacted everyone and there dog.. if there was a person we were contacting them and it was a lot of fun we got to give out four book of mormon and we were giving out pamphlets and he is the gift cards left and right to bless the lives of those we contact through the message these things bring! So it was a great day and we also were blessed with a lot of news as well so it all worked out really well!

On Christmas I got to call home and talk to everyone which was really nice to see and hear my family! And show them a little dance.. hehe so that was a lot of fun! And after my comp and i finished talking with our families we ate tamales which is the traditional christmas time food here with hot chocolate! But other than that we really didn't do anything else on christmas..
But other than that nothing new really happened.. i am excited though because soon i'm going to be able to see my trainer hermana wilcoxen who I haven't seen in forever she goes home with my comp that i have now in febuary 18th so its soon and all the hermanas that go home come and stay with us at my house because were the closest to the airport so i hope that i don't have changes so that ill be able to see her along with other missionaries that are going home! but who knows.. this is the last week before changes.. but i don't think me or my comp have changed.. but will see.. But i love you all this is all i got i'm going to try and take the rest of the time to send you all pics!
love ya all!

Somos bendicidos!

So I really don't know where to begin... on monday we had our reunion with president Crapo and three other zones and we ate yummy CCM food and we watched the IRON Will WHAT A GREAT MOVIE. its the one made by Disney.. and afterwards we talked about how it could apply to us and it was a great message... one thing i really like from Hna. Crapos message was we have been blessed with so much from our Father in heaven and he has blessed us with as well many spiritual gifts... and she went on to say what are we going to give Christ this christmas what are we going to give our Father in Heaven this christmas to thank them for all that we have... and she went on to say the work of serving loving and keeping his commandments is the way that we are able to give back to H.F
I had a great experience today my comp and i saw a member who is in a wheel chair slowly making it up a hill and having problems with doing so we went to cross the street when we saw a stranger slowly limping up behind him and then pushing him the best he could even though he was limping and couldn't walk well himself. this stranger took the time to go out of his way to help this man with all that he was able to do in his condition went and helped this member... it really touched me.
If there is something i learned is that its not about the presents but about helping and loving others like christ would.. So i hope you all have a great christmas love you all! so much got to go ill send pic and write more next week

Love you all

FELIZ NAVIDAD!

Christmas photos!

Christmas photos! santa clause!!!!! HAHAHA And this is all I have time to send ill send more next week love ya all!

Soooo

Well this week was rather interesting.. It started off awesome and on

Tuesday my comp and i had a really cool experience that i want to share with you all so we met a man that has a sick daughter she just had surgery for removing her appendix but shes been really sick and hasn't really healed so he talked to us about what are church does to help the sick and we explained about the authority and such and then he took us to meet his 13 year old daughter...

and some background info about this area.. its the poor area and we literally walk in a mountain trail to get to these houses that are built in the trees of the mountain.. its supppppererrr cool and his house is a little weird to get to because theirs a steep hill and then we climb up a little to then walk down really big stairs..

but anyway so we met his 13 year old little girl.. shes super sweet and had such a huge smile on her face despite the pain she was in.. so we talked to them and called the elders to put a cita with them for Wednesday so that we could come back with the Elders and have them give her a blessing...

So we did and on Wednesday we headed to there house to give the blessing... and well, on the last step down by there house of the big stairs I told you guys about... the last step.. i slipped and ended up rolling my ankle.. or something i'm still not sure what i did to it. so limping and holding back everything we went into there house and they gave the blessing and then awkwardly i limped all the way up the mountain trail with my comp in front of me and Elder Savage behind me I felt so bad.. I kind of just walked and they stood in front of me and behind me in case I needed help haha i half crawled up the mountain.. now that I think about it.. it was probably actually really funny to watch hahah and it was kind of embarrassing ill admit but it hurt to walk so we had to take it really slow and ya it was interesting.. so the elders had to leave because we had to be in the church at 6 for caroling we were going to go to different parts of our areas with members and sing... so they left and my comp and i walked all the way back by the time we got back near our house it had been about an hour and a half... because the area we were in was rather far.. so unfortunately I wasn't able to go caroling.. which i was a little bummed about but the next day i went out and worked.. haha it was a rather interesting week with my foot but ... im still working and now its basically healed. still a little swollen... So that was that..

On thursday we had interviews with president.. that went well and on sunday we had a singing devotional at the stake center that was a bunch of Christmas music! It was really pretty! Today monday we went and painted and cleaned a school for children that was a lot of fun I was put with the cleaning group and at one point we ended up having a epic rag fight.. it was a lot of fun afterwards the people that worked there surprised us with lunch! but it was a lot of fun and i'm happy that we were able to help them out..

I also forgot to mention on saturday we went back down to the house of the man whose daughters sick to see how shes was doing and she was doing really well she was able to walk a lot more she still can{t move a whole lot but she had progressed a lot... so we were able to give her the card I made and give her the stuff animal we bought and just talk to her but he and her family are really cool and i look forward to seeing the miracles of priesthood blessings. along with the importance and power of faith but yep that was basically my week!

Love ya all thanks!

El es la Dadiva

So how awesome was the youtube broadcast thing yesterday i wasn't able to get on facebook but me along with all the other missionaries have little cards were giving out and explaining about the new video El es la Dadiva.. which i'm assuming means He is the Gift in english. but anyway so im super happy and excited to be apart of this program and I have seen the word spread and its really awesome.. SO you should all be sure to see that video and to share it on facebook... speaking of which dad if you can find it in spanish and in english and share them both on my facebook thanks!

Also speaking about yesterday, yesterday was the day of the diablo devil.. here in guatemala so everyone had huge pinatas of devils and they would light them on fire and have fire works going off and it all started at 7 btu some luckily before 7 so my comp and i were able to see some adn take some pics before the christmas devotional started.. which how awesome was the devotional!!! i was able to watch it in english with all the gringies.. hehe the zone leaders were cool enough to set it up in english for us at the stake center... but something sad that happened after. is one for the new Elders Elder Astel said that they were sending him home monday.. so today in the morning.. so the newbie of three weeks in the field went home and it was really sad the people in our zones are like our families and so my comp were like almost in tears. haha one of teh elders was like he not dying hermanas... but in a way it kind of feels like that because were not sure if were not going to see them again.. but the one thing i love about the mission is that even if i don´t see any of theses people in this life we can party and see each other in the celestial kingdom. which is a great blessing! but anyway so that was a little sad but were okay now... so anyway

we had two earthquakes yesterday one at like 6 in the morning and the other in the afternoon so that was pretty cool...

This week I managed to make a lot of new friends out of the 18 people in my zone... and so its been a lot of fun today in p day we played basket which was a lot of fun! and then went to pizza hut... and here i am writing but I forgot to tell u al I think but my house is the ho use they use if an hermana has emergency changes.. or is going home or something like that so tonight at 7 thirty were going to have a hermana come and stay with us tonight and leave tomorrow we don't´really know the situation but it will be fun to be able to get to know her for the short time she will be staying with us... but my comp and I always say were the wanna be sister leaders because we always have hermanas coming and going and we have hermanas sometimes that come for a day and we do divisions with them... so that's going to be fun.

Also something a little weird but kind of cool is my comp and i made friends like best friends with this lady of testigo de jehova.. i think its like jehovah witnesses or something like that so everytime we see her we always talk and share our doctrine.. and shes supper cool and super nice... but shes from guatemala and she has strawberry hair and her name is cherry.. haha cheri...but ya so im doing well and i'm doing my best working hard and having a blast in my area... on friday for correlation us and the finacieros went and put up and decorated our missionary leader of the wards christmas tree and ate and watched the video of the church that was a lot of fun and it was great that we were able to talk about all our needs of our investigators but also real quick for all you taht are asking me for the address. everything needs to be sent to the following address because the address on the cards I passed out at my fair well is the address for the north and east so if you send it to that address its possible that they will send the thing you send me to the north mission and it will get lost.. so the mission address for my mission is

Hermana Flewallen
Mission Guatemala East Mission
Apartado Postal 951-A
Guatemala Guatemala C.A

gracias for all your support and love got to go until next week! Love ya all!

tengo cambios!

So i have been in my first area for about 7 months and now i have changes... when i found out it was really sad for both my comp and I but now i'm fine. one of my favorite songs is ill go where you want me to go... and i have taken that to heart.. i will go where you want me to go and say what you want me to say... ill be what you want me to be.. i've noticed that on the mission i have been changing as i am literally becoming the person that H.F wants me to be... of course Im not perfect but im doing my best to improve more and more every day.. and when i fall i've found that its easier to get back up when we lean on our savior.. we are not perfect. but I am grateful for a patient H.F that loves us even though we are not perfect. But anyway I unfortunately don´t have time to write much. but know that I love you all and that our Father in Heaven does as well! thanks for all your support..!

Feliz Navidad en Noviembre!

Okay so its basically Christmas here decorations and everything on saturday they had a huge festival and they have a giant tree in the area by Wal-mart and the turned on the lights and there was a never ending stream of fireworks in the sky.. this lasted quite a while I'm quite a pro at sleeping with fireworks loudly going off.. hehhe but its awesome and its really pretty.

But nothing other than that really happened this week.. same oh same oh.. I am really nervous though because this is the week of changes and I have a lot of time here and i would love to have only one more with my comp that i have now.. we get along really great and spending christmas with the people here that are like my family would be amazing.. but in the same time i will be happy to do the will of the Lord. So if i have changes I know its for a reason! And I will be happy to go where I am needed! but that is basically my week still working hard and doing my best...

Ill take the rest of the time to send photos sorry I haven't sent any in a while.. but love you all and hope your all doing well.. your in my prayers!

Love ya all!

Photos (11/03/2014)

Only had time to send one sorry short on time i'll send more next week!

Happy late Halloween!

This week was kind of fun not only was it Halloween which my comp and i after we finished working for the day got dressed in our ¨costumes¨ we took pics with those.. it was a lot of fun and i made cake in the shape of halloween things as well... hopefully i have time to send photos but not only was it a good week of Halloween. It was also a good week to strengthen my faith.
Lately i've been working on my faith and i have found that I have been able to  have a lot of experiences this week were my faith has grown a lot.. I've learned that even when I have the Faith needed to have things happen that I also have to remember that H.F has his will as well so I need to put my faith with his will. We have been having a hard time finding news and we don´t have a lot of investigators that are progressing so we decided to go door contacting... and we went to a area that has been in my mind for a while and before we contacted the door. I turned to my comp and said this persons going to let us in... so we contacted the door and the person got talking to us and we gave them a book of Mormon and they want us to go back and talk to him and they want to read the whole book and not just parts that we gave them.. there supper PILAS! But i feel like attitude in alot of things is what  makes miracles.. but i found this week that through our faith we can see miracles..
but my comp and i are going to try even harder this week to find people prepared and i know that if we work hard in faith we will be able to find the people that H.F has prepared for us.. so that was basically my week, working hard and trying to find news.. but love ya all! thanks for your emails!

Love

Week

okay,.. well where to start.. hahah so alot has happened and alot that I want to tell you but forgot to tell you about so here I go bien rapido. So this past change. my district leader Elder. Jensen and my Zone leader who has been my zone leader for almost all of my mission so far.. Eld Gamez went home.. it was really sad.. all the missionaries are my family and having them leave was like my older brothers were leaving.. but i'm in contact with both of them so its all good.. hahaha so our new district leader is Elder. Wright.. it was weird because I know him we are really good friends and normally when we get new district leaders its someone  that we don´t kno... but hes cool haha the other day I called in for stats and he told me to read 2 kings 2:23-24.. his spiritual thought of the day haha but he managed to tie it into the work by saying that if anyone in the street rejects him hes going to give them a pamphlet with this on it.. hahah so keep that in mind..
So as you all know i went to the TEMPLE LAST WEEK! I LOVE THE TEMPLE SOOOO MUCH!!! it was great and i saw one of my CCM teachers and took a pic with her.. she told me that my spanish was excellent so im taking that as i'm improving.. haha im not sure.. but it was a great experience and I always look forward to the opportunity to be able to get out of the world for a few hours to enjoy the peacefulness of the Temple.
On wednesday we had our reunion de districto.. which honestly i think that means meeting of district which sounds weird to me but i think you all get the idea.. so we had that and well to explain something first.. i like to eat weird things.. so i made my own food you buy tortillas that they make here but peanut butter, honey and hot cheetos on it and it is sooooo good.. so i was talking the other day about it with some Elders and they all said they were going to try it and so in wednesday I bought a whole bunch of freshly made hot tortillas and brought the cheetos, and the p.b and honey to the meeting and made it and got a video of them all eating it.. FUNNIEST THING EVER.. it was awesome and then after they tried it others wanted to try it.. so basically my whole zone tried it. hahaa .. there were however people people that thought i was crazy and didn't want to even touch it.. haha but I think i made something thats going to become famous in Guatemala hahah My comp is now helping me come up with something new. haha buenas suerte zona bosques hehe
but yep my comp and i are working hard in our area we are basically cleaning the area again and have been looking for news to teach as we dropped a whole bunch of people.. but we are doing our best and working.. my comp and i are getting along EXTREMELY well so im happy and im doing my best.. love u all and hope all is well!
remember that were never alone. H.F is always with us and that if we do our best H.F will help us with the rest.. Love you all! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

hola!!!!!!!

So as you have all noticed I didn't write yesterday! because im going to the temple today so were writing early then heading over to zona 15.. i'm soooooooo excited I LOVE THE TEMPLE! and after this last change i really would like a break from the world.. but hmm. this past week.. my comp and i didn't really work much because we were both sick so we stayed home and rested... we both had the same thing but no one knows what we have. so thats still a mystery.. so we got to watch a lot of videos and slept a lot.. it was a good break but I really felt bad for not working for two and a half days and just resting.. but my liders kind of made us soo.. hahah they know im stubborn.. but anyway.. yesterday we had divisions with the Hermana Leaders, Hermana Fitzgerald was with me in my area.. yesterday was a holiday here so no one was working but everyone was with there family so we weren't able to enter and teach a lot of people yesterday... but thats okay we still have the rest of the week! but yep.. everythings going well for me.. my comp Hna. Polanco and I get along really well and were always laughing..we've established that were twins just shes my latina twin and i'm her american twin hahah and were both working really hard in our area.. right now were basically cleaning the area by dropping a lot of people right now and looking for news.. which is the problem for our zone right now is finding news... but with time and faith we will be able to find people to teach that are prepared. So yep everything's going great my comps awesome and im working hard in my area. So yep that was my week! Ill tell you all how going to the temple went next week! but love ya all thanks for your love and support!
Love,

Good Week...

So this week was good and bad at the same time... good as in the fact that my comp and I are best friends!! Like my comp and I got really close this week and I was hoping that we could have another change together but she had Emergency cambios yesterday... Presidente Crapo y Hermana Crapo our Presidente de mision.. went to our church yesterday and stayed the three hours and then after my comp and I had interevistas with the President and he told us that my comp had changes.. which the four of us (the elders and my comp and I) kind of saw this coming... so it wasn't to big of a surprise.. so it was actually really sad to see my comp leave.. but it was really sweet because she told me that out of all her 11 comps I was probably her favorite.. which I admit really surprised me after the struggling change we have had together.. but it all worked out and we are really really close and best friends and I love my comp and this whole change I have loved her shes awesome just we had our differences.. But I now see why I was put with my comp and I am really grateful for all that I was able to learn through this experiences and how I grew spiritually as I leaned on our Savior more this week.. but so theres that.. my new comp is Hermana Polonco shes from Guatemala Quatezal Tenango (which is where my district in the ccm is serving right now) but my new comp is cool and she has a desire to work and be obedient like I do.. so I don{t have changes which was nice because I new before they announced it in the night.. so im still in my first area but i'm happy because I love my area! But yep all is going well for me! I had a baptism yesterday morning.. it was awesome and I'm so excited im going to make this email a little short so i can send pics but love ya all! Do your best and read your scriptures! heehe love ya all!

Conferencia de Cincho!

CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!! i can´t begin to tell you all how spiritually high and how happy I am right now.. i'm bouncing off the walls all the members on saturday and Sunday were like what the heck is Hermana Flewallen on shes like majorly majorly.. extremely happy.. I LOVED the talks so much hahah this week was a really hard week on me I had a enos moment where I literally got to a point where I literally prayed by myself with all my heart... my comp got in a fight with my ZL.. and other problems..and i couldn't handle it so I asked if they could leave the room so that I could have time to pray and so alone in the room I prayed.. my district leader came in and talked to me and helped me out. so I felt better after that but the best cure to everything was CONFERENCE.. I literally had a count down in my schedule.. it was the weirdest thing.. as cheesy as it sounds.. my souls been hungering for conference.. i wanted to badly this week to just listen to conference. day by day i told myself to just hold on til conference.. I tell you all this because conference really is an amazing thing.. we need to listen to the words.. they are indeed inspired.. and i came to conference with questions to then receive plan and clear answers.. I am so grateful for a Father in Heaven who answers prayers. who loves each and every one of us and who is always here for us. I hope you all received what you needed to hear form conference.. haha on a side note.. my District leader during conference would tap me o n the shoulder as if to say what did I tell you.. because they were talking about what I needed to here and what my District leader had explained to me.. I really love conference and im glad for this opportunity that we had to listen to it.. unfortunately I need to go I have so much more that I want to tell you all but just take the words of conference and apply them to your lives you will find happiness if you do! But how different and how amazing was this conference.. it was loving cincho.. ya i don´t know what that word is in english.. but I loved every single talk.. and i took a huge amount of notes.. so if any of you want the Liahona for this conference.. i have it hahaha but love ya all and hope all is well! todo sigan pilas! Ill wright more about conference next week if I remember and if theres time but love you all!

Photos (09/29/2014)

ya we got a littttllle bit wet.. hahaha

Like Nephi!

This week was awesome! I have so much to tell so little time! but this week we had the women's conference broadcast.. which i watched in spanish but luckily i understood thankfully for conference there going to have a side room in English for all of the gringos! so i was listening in Spanish but watching the person talk using English and then writing all my notes in english.. I got to the point where I couldnt´want them talk because my head hurt from it all but i understood it haha.. But it was really good and I really liked the messages we need to have our homes and places we go places that bring the spirit so that we are prepared to go to the temple. I really liked all the talks about preparing ourselves to go to the temple, and how the temple prepares us as well. So in and out we need to always be preparing ourselves spiritually!

On saturday we had our clase de ingles.. and lets just say that i have hit the point where talking and teaching in english confuses me. Im at the awkward spot that missionaries hit where its awkwardly between english and spanish and so it was sooo sad the elder thats from California was laughing at me because I literally could not help them teach. they were teaching about that, this, those and theses... and i kept getting them all messed up... hahaha and also a and an. the difference... ya it was sad... really sad.. then on top of that since Elder Wright thought it was funny that I hit this stage the teacher and Elder Wright had me say the final prayer in English.. ya haha lets just say it was two small phrases in English and i couldn't do it so i finished in Spanish.. And now I know what some of your are thinking.. How can you forget your language.... its amazing how fast it leaves you here because i'm constantly using it... so that was a very interesting day.. my brain hurt haha

But this week I realized something. I am like Nefi, my comp has more months than me so I felt like I needed to listen to her and need to follow her lead but it was hard because I want to be obedient.. but then I thought of Nefi, hes the younger brother of his siblings and he would be the one to flat out tell his brothers they need to repent.. he always stood up for what was right and feared no one.. I realized that it doesn't matter about the amount of time.. everyone is different.. and this applies for everyone just because someone older than you doesn't mean they know everything they know a lot but no ones perfect.. all we need is to be an example to everyone those younger and older than us..

I also had a really cool experience where i received revelation for myself.. it was probably one of the coolest things that has happened on my mission. i've received revelations for my investigators and such before never felt it so strong and stand out so much... We had divisions on Friday with the Hernama Leaders and it was the break I needed. and the Hermana leader told me something that someone to her.. Sometimes well most of the times when we have trials in our lives there is something that needed to be learned from it but in the mission we need to find what needed to be learned fast because our area needs us to work with our all. and so i thought about this something to be learned.. and something that all my leaders have been telling me and the thing that I wanted to change.. was i need to be more bold.. I learned this week to fear God more than to fear what others think of me.. i never thought that I needed to become more aggressive, more forward and more bold with people... and i felt in this moment that this is what H.F wanted me to learn.. that i need to listen to the spirit and act upon it.. these days I've been getting promptings like mad.. on things i need to say or stop my comp from doing.. and so ive been acting on them and I've found that as i have done this things work out the way they need to. I've learned to fear H.F more than others so ive been working on being bold and more forward with people. I hope what i explained made sense.. I dont´have time to go back and read it but hopefully you all get the basic just of it.. but i'm doing great! And i know that im working with my Father in Heaven.

We have two baptisms for the 12 in the morning i am so excited for them! but all is going well! Im doing my best and working with all my heart, mind and strength with exact obedience! I hope you are all doing well! Love ya all your in my prayers!

love ,

Better Week!

So this week was a lot better, i've just focused on the positive and decided not to stress to much and as a result I feel a lot better.. The problems I was having was with my comp but with my leaders and through praying I feel alot better and my comp and i are working a lot better.. with ups and downs of course..

But this Friday I hit my six month mark which is freaking insane!!!! Where is the time going! But im not baggie because I still have a lot of stuff to do. This past Saturday I had to teach our class of ingles because the teacher went to the temple and the elders came latter so that was fun.. My Spanish improved a lot so it went well and after I cooked chicken with ritz and cheese potatoes hehe grandma Monsons way but I changed it a little to make it Guatemalan.. it was soooo good and the elders, my comp and a member that was with us loved it! I also bought a 3 leche which is one of my favorite cakes here so were all probably going to get fat hahaha but it was really good!

Nothing really exciting happened this week. Oh we had intervistas with the President and got to talk to him.. I liked the advice that he gave me along with the assistance. I unfortunately don´t have much time so Ill give you two of my spiritual thoughts next week since I don´t have time now.. But love ya all>! ur all in my prayer.. hopefully I have more time to send pics next time I have lots! hahahaha but thanks for all your love support! Ur all in my prayers.. Know that H.F loves u all and me to!

LOVE,

Welp

This week was really hard on me, and I don´t really want to focus on it that much but rather focus on this week to come... But what I will say about this past week is I have learend that it is important to remember in our times of hardship that we need to lean and trust in the Lord. I had an oportunity to have a real and humbling, hearfilled prayer as I struggled through this week. And I have learend that I find alot of peace and comfort and sterngth through prayers.. I felt alone but I received a blessing of advice and comfort from my district leader and after the prayer all the sadness from everything that happened this week and loneliness I had felt went away and I felt completely at peace.. I also heard exsactly what I needed to hear. I have seen how when things are hard how if we put our trust in the Lord we can accomplish anything..

I know our Father In Heaven loves each and every one of us.. He knows what we need and he has a plan for all of us.. I know there is a reason that I am here and I am greatful for the Leaders that H.F has put in my area who have really reached out and helped me this week.
But im doing fine now and basically the problem has been resolved.

But!!!!!!!!! So this week! Well today is the 15th of September.. its independence day for Guatemala and so they´ve been having alot of cool parades and stuff over here.. So thats been fun to watch.. I also hit my 6 month mark... time fly's way way way to fast... so much to do so little time but I decided that I am going to work hard with my whole heart, mind and strength so that I can make the best of the short time that I have the privilege to serve my Father In Heaven. As for today I hope I get to eat lots of traditional food with the members for the celebration of there independence day! hehehe so I look forward to that. But im doing great, doing my best and pushing forward. I hope that your all doing well and that you remember that H.F loves each and every one of you and so do I :) Thanks for your support!

Cambios change more than just companions

So we had changes this week and i got a new comp.. shes 22 years old 23 in October. shes from Honduras.. She has 16 months in the mission.
This week has been crazzy last week we got cincho from our bishop and so this week now that Hna. Wilcoxen is in chickimula as a Hna. Leader.. its my job to hold up the fort with my new comp.. but ive worked really hard this week! Ive always prayed that I can get to the point where I serve with my whole heart mind and strength.. and my prayers were answered this week..

I worked really hard to meet the metas we put for our dats.. and I managed to find members to leave with us..
but the thing I love the most about his week is I have grown as a missionary.. Being the person that needs to take charge, make phone calls and lead the lessons ive realized that I knew more Spanish than I thought and that I understand basically everything that there saying to me now.. im really excited for this and I love this feeling that i had and still have when I was and still am able to communicate to others alot better than i have in the past.. I lvoe meeting new people and seeing how it changes there lives for the better. I really enjoy meeting new people, the people here are really sweet! And I have had the opportunity to meet alot of people this week. I'm enjoying my mission alot!!!!

My new comp we both have our disagreemnts and sometimes Im the one making sure were following the rules but ive learned alot from her as well. Shes very bold and isn´t afraid of others, she says whats on her mind.. so she gives cincho and I give love.. were a great team! And i want to become more bold.. so ive learned how to balance out giving cincho and love and by doing this I have improved alot as a missionary... sorry i really don´t know what cincho is in English.. its like ahh.. I don't know how to explain it.. its like telling them what they need to do because there not doing it kind of thing.. so I have found a good balance in doing this but then showing them love and why they need to do this..

We had alot Menos activios that we have been working iwth go to church along with some investigators that we have only met this week that came! So im excited for this!

Ive been sick again.. for the last past three days but I got another preistood blessing and I feel alot better. Im greally greatful for my leaders as well. My District leader has been helping alot in adjusting to my first comp out of my trainer..And since im kind of running things hes been a great help in answering my questions and has given me alot of great advice using scriptures..
SO IM DOING GREAT! and Im forgetting myself and going to work with all my heart mind and strength! But thank you all for your emails and letters! I appreciate all the support and love. I am truly blessed!

Well times up! Got to go love you all! ur in my prayers!

My first Bautismo!

This week has been crazzyy!!

Well it feels crazy if I write it.. it will probably only be a paragraph or two maybe haha but anyway so on Thursday my district nominated me to make a poster for a Hermana who is leaving home.. It turned out great and I was happy to do it.. So we had a party for her and elder Trupp who is heading back to there home!

My comp and I unfortunately didn´t get to finish our weekly planning so we had to finish that Sunday night because Friday we had the party for them and then I had my FIRST BAPTISM!!!! with Joseline who is the daughter of an inactive.. she bore her testimony and everything.. it was really beautiful! But we started the bautismo late because there was a crash making alot of traffic so we didn´t start the baptism until about eight thirty and didn´t get in our house until 10.. but we had permission form our Zone leaders so it was okay! But I am super happy and suppppper excited for her she looked so happy and was so excited for her baptism! It was a great expereince! It really made me happy and it reminded me of the scripture that says ... if you joy in bringing one soul unto me how great will your joy be if you bring many.. not exsact words but... so im going to continue to do my best and bring more unto our Father in Heaven!

On Saturday we planned for our clase de ingles that were having to get more investigators.. hmmm on Sunday we received our changes... Im staying in Bosques but my comp is leaving the area.. Which I admit is hard because weve been together for four months and were used to the way we teach.. but I know that my next comp will be someoen that will help this area and will help me as well and is someone who H.F wants me to be with! . So as sad as it is.. ill see her in the states and shes going to BYU Provo.. so ill see her again anyway.. haha and also Im excited and hope I get a Latina as a comp!!!! because as good as my Spanish is right now it still needs alot of improving which comes through speaking.. so im excited and nervous at the same time.. so theres that.. today is going to be crazy running around to members and such but this is basically my week! Im pretty sure we did alot more this week I just can´t remember so ill leave it at this!

Love ya all!

Photos (08/25/2014)

The first pic is me with our investigator who has a fechas for the 6 of Sept.. her names Jely.

The second pic.. its a pic I put in Elder. Cubillos baggie.. and for those who don't know what a baggie is.. its just a note book you decorate and then give to missionary's to sign and give there info in for after the mission.. Baggie is basically like you want to go home.. kind of thing... Im not really sure how to explain it but anyway so apparently he wanted to gangster out the photo so

yep this is the product of him turning it into a gangster pic...

This is what a part of Guatemala looks like!
